Überraschen Lassen
The intense and distinctive paintings, drawings and illustrations from the ‘KreativWerk Höfingen’, exude a raw radiance that irritates and intrigues at the same time. Produced by persons with disabilities, that in the ‘KreativWerk’ get the chance to make their living as professional artists supported by creative-assistants. Under the name of ‘Outsider Art,’ the artworks by these artists from the ‘KreativWerk Höfingen’ have firmly claimed their space on the professional art scene. The exhibition in the art gallery of the vhs shows a selection of these works that aim to offer insight into these individual creative creation processes. In an exciting collaboration, to foster empathy towards the artist and the viewer, English Literature students, as part of their studies into Sight and Sightlessness in Literature, wrote and recorded creative, multilingual, audio guides for the artworks on display.
