On 4 November, the pub quiz took place for the first time since before the coronavirus pandemic, organised as a collaboration between the department and the English & Digital Humanities student group. With additional prizes from the DAZ for the top three places, the students were all motivated to give their best. In several rounds, the students were able to demonstrate their knowledge of subject-related questions, songs and series, which were then evaluated by the numerous lecturers in attendance. But answering questions from different categories was not the only thing on the agenda. During the breaks between rounds, the students competed in a paper aeroplane throwing competition, played heads or tails and learned a new dance routine bit by bit, which they then danced together at the end. There was also no shortage of food and drinks. All in all, it was a successful collaboration and everyon went home happy. We are already looking forward to the next pub quiz!
