German American Center

In cooperation with the German-American Center (Deutsch-Amerikanisches Zentrum / James-F.-Byrnes-Institut e.V.), the Department of American Literature and Culture offers a large number of courses for its students. The DAZ is a non-profit cultural and educational institution, which informs members about the social, cultural, political, and economic events and questions in both countries and also serves as a forum for interaction and discussion. In addition to the diverse course offerings there is also the possibility of completing a several-week-long internship in support of the cultural program.

Theater tri-bühne

Political, social and artistic aspiration in connection with poetry, pleasure and the enjoyment of “play” – these are things the Theater tri-bühne stands for. The repertoire includes the whole scope of dramatic literature: tragedy and comedy, the classic and the modern, the dramatization of epics, experimental theater and readings on current hot topics. As a corporate partner of University of Stuttgart’s American Literature and Culture Department, the tri-bühne Theater offers reduced price tickets for our students. In cooperation with the Department of American Literature and Culture, our students regularly receive the opportunity to interact with actual authors while attending exciting reading events.
