Sabine Metzger hat über das Thema Eros und Morbid Artistry. Existenz und Poiesis im Werk von John Hawkes promoviert. Ihre Veröffentlichungen umfassen Artikel über Gertrude Stein, Nathaniel Hawthorne und Vladimir Nabokov, sowie Beiträge zu Vampires and Zombies: Transcultural Migrations and Transnational Interpretations und Nabokov’s Life and Art. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Vladimir Nabokov, transnational literatures, Phänomenologie (Ludwig Binswanger, Henri Maldiney, Jean-Louis-Chrétien, Edward S. Casey), Sound Studies und Posthumanism.
